The Base protocol leader and ZachXBT are debating the value of Zora Coins.

Gate.io News bot message, Base protocol head Jesse Pollak recently praised the historical high user activity of Zora Coins. However, well-known blockchain researcher ZachXBT immediately criticized this, labeling these tokens as "viruses" and pointing out that the market capitalization of all tokens has not exceeded 5 million dollars.

Jesse Pollak admitted that the vast majority of this content indeed has limited value, and the number of truly significant pieces of content is extremely small. He added that if measured against a standard of over $5 million, it does not reflect the actual situation of content operations from any perspective.

ZachXBT questioned: "Since you agree that most of the content is worthless, why would a rational creator want to dilute their brand by issuing a large number of creator tokens; pretending that creator tokens are any different from Memecoins through false marketing is harmful."

In response, Jesse Pollak stated that creating content on-chain does not dilute the brand any more than creating content on Web2 platforms; good content will go viral, and the market and algorithms will decide everything.
