Bagheri said in an interview with the media that Iran participated in the first round of negotiations with the US in good faith and with a serious attitude, but the US showed a cold attitude and lacked sincerity, and their stance was also inconsistent. He stated that Iran has made it clear that if going to Islamabad, Pakistan, to attend negotiations is in the national interest, they will participate, but no decision has been made yet. Bagheri said that the US blockade of Iranian ports is an act of aggression, shooting at and seizing Iranian commercial ships, which is not behavior expected from a country genuinely committed to serious diplomatic progress.
