From a local perspective, the reporter of Finance News of the People learned exclusively that multiple provinces will promote large-scale development of hydrogen energy this year and study related support policy measures: ① In 2026, the work report of the People’s Government of Fujian Province proposed implementing a future-industry cultivation and development action, and will vigorously develop key areas including green hydrogen energy, exploring diverse technical routes, typical application scenarios, and feasible business models. This year, Fujian Province plans to strengthen platform construction such as the JiaGeng Laboratory and the Gulai green hydrogen pilot base, focusing on technology breakthroughs, application pilots, and scenario promotion, and to promote scenario exploration or application pilots for hydrogen energy in fields including transportation, ocean-related applications, smart power grids, and infrastructure construction. ② This year, Inner Mongolia will quickly advance “production-storage-transport-use” as a whole-industry-chain pilot in the first stage, and carry out five tasks: enhancing innovation capacity, improving efficiency in wind/solar-to-hydrogen production, expanding demand for green hydrogen, building basic infrastructure, and strengthening the industrial chain through stronger links. Next, it will accelerate progress in constructing wind/solar-to-hydrogen integrated projects, promote the construction of the green hydrogen pipeline network with “one trunk and double loops with four exits,” and focus on exploring new breakthroughs in large-scale green hydrogen production and cost reduction and efficiency improvement. ③ During the “15th Five-Year Plan period” (fifteen to twenty-five), Guangdong will focus on breakthroughs in key core hydrogen-energy technologies such as fuel cells and high-efficiency water electrolysis cells, and accelerate the development of a full hydrogen energy industry chain covering “production-storage-transport-usage-addition.” It will actively promote demonstration applications of hydrogen energy in fields including transportation, industry, and energy. Relevant policies are still under study and formulation. ④ During the “15th Five-Year Plan period” (fifteen to twenty-five), Jiangsu Province will focus on cultivating the hydrogen energy industry and will strive to build hydrogen energy industrial clusters with a rational layout and leading position in China. This year, it will actively explore multiple hydrogen storage and transport methods to reduce the cost of storing and transporting hydrogen gas. It will coordinate and plan the deployment of hydrogen fueling infrastructure, prioritizing the construction of hydrogen fueling facilities in regions such as highways, port logistics, and industrial parks. It will support regions with conditions to develop hydrogen-energy transportation routes, and actively explore the construction of pilot routes for hydrogen-fueled highways.
