The Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Dream Factory Yongli Garden grandly opened, empowering a new ecosystem of Shenzhen-Hong Kong sci-tech integration in the Hong Kong-style street area.
The Hong Kong legendary brand "Qianhai Yongli Garden 1947", which carries the essence of 78 years of Hong Kong-style dining culture, has ushered in a new milestone amid the construction wave of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. After three generations of dedicated craftsmanship, the flagship store co-created by Hong Kong Yongli Garden and Qianhai has officially settled in the Qianhai DreamWorks and will grandly open on May 25, 2025. This is not only a culinary feast that transcends time and space but also a cultural and innovative journey themed "Carp Leaping over the Dragon Gate", further enriching the comprehensive effectiveness of Qianhai's "1510" development model.
Hong Kong's time-honored brand Yongli Garden settles in Qianhai, adding new scenery to the cultural integration between Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
As a family of diners inherited from the descendants of the Qing Dynasty's imperial chefs, Wing Qu Yuen is famous for its "classic Hong Kong flavors", such as "Imperial Chicken" and "Eight Treasures Winter Melon Cup". The Qianhai flagship store will recreate the recipes of the Imperial Diet that have been lost for generations, and integrate modern cooking techniques to create a one-of-a-kind culinary experience. From signature dishes that have won the Le Cordon Bleu Award in France to masterpieces that have been recommended by Michelin for 16 consecutive years, each dish carries the taste memories and cultural codes of three generations. The new store is not only a food and beverage space, but also closely aligned with the development goals of DreamWorks' "1510" model, through the joint construction of the "Youth Entrepreneurship Incubation Base" and the "Catering Talent Training Center", to provide a new model and new path for youth innovation and entrepreneurship in Shenzhen and Hong Kong. Ms. Wang Xiaoling (Mrs. Yeung), Director of the Group, said, "We hope to leverage our nearly 80 years of experience to help young people realize their dreams of food and beverage and nurture more industry stars in the Greater Bay Area. In her speech, Yang Lili, the third-generation successor of Wing Quinoa Garden, said, "Qianhai is the 'first stop' for Hong Kong young people to go north, and we hope to bring warmth to them through the taste of hometown." This concept echoes the planning of DreamWorks' "Hong Kong Style District". The block gathers Hong Kong-funded brands such as Wing Quinoa Garden, Yue Xin Bookstore, and Yongnian Store, and creates an immersive Hong Kong-style life experience through scenes such as retro neon signs, Cantonese golden melody walls, and Shenzhen-Hong Kong cultural and creative markets. Walking through the neighborhood, you can not only taste authentic Hong Kong-style milk tea, read Hong Kong literature books, but also participate in the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Entrepreneurship Salon, forming a characteristic ecology of "fireworks and book aroma intertwined, traditional taste and sense of technology coexist".
The "1510" model shows results as the Shenzhen-Hong Kong innovation ecosystem accelerates its formation.
In August 2024, Qianhai launched an innovative mechanism of "1 yuan incubation entry, 500 million fund establishment, and 100,000 square meters of industrial space" to lower the entrepreneurial threshold for young people from Hong Kong and Macau through the "1 yuan Innovation Workshop," attracting over a thousand businesses.
The team is deeply rooted; a special fund of 500 million yuan has leveraged over 3 billion yuan in social capital to solve the financing difficulties faced by sci-tech enterprises; a 100,000 square meter industrial space has gathered incubators, accelerators, technology transfer platforms, and other "ten innovation elements," constructing a complete chain system of "basic research + technological breakthroughs + achievement industrialization."
Under the new model of "1510", more than 460 entrepreneurial teams have been attracted to participate in the selection, the total financing of incubated enterprises has exceeded 6.2 billion yuan, 77 national high-tech enterprises and 18 specialized and special new enterprises have been cultivated.
The synergy between Shenzhen and Hong Kong continues to deepen. A project mutual promotion mechanism has been established with Hong Kong Cyberport and Science Park, facilitating 33 enterprises to land across borders; platforms such as the Hong Kong University Youth Innovation Academy and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University's Qianhai Technology Innovation Center have successively been established, promoting the conversion of research results from Hong Kong universities in Qianhai.
The DreamWorks Fund focuses on solving the financing problems of innovation and entrepreneurship of Hong Kong enterprises and Hong Kong people. To provide "first mile" support for the industrialization of Hong Kong's scientific research achievements in Qianhai, as well as to empower start-ups, build an industrial ecosystem for investment projects with the accumulated resources of leading enterprises and chain owners, and link up with leading enterprises to import orders, so as to achieve a seamless connection from "laboratory to production line".
While serving the entrepreneurial innovation of Hong Kong youth, the park atmosphere has also been further enhanced. Services such as the "Hong Kong Youth Station" providing free short-term accommodation, a free "Commuting Special Line" directly connecting to Futian Port and Futian Station, and cross-border buses from Qianhai to Hong Kong have been launched. Additionally, Hong Kong-funded brands like Yongli Garden, Yongnian Convenience Store, and Yuyin Bookstore have settled in, creating a "Science and Technology + Humanities" integrated ecosystem that offers a rich Hong Kong-style living environment for young people from Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
Looking to the future: deepen integration and build an innovation highland in the Bay Area
With the opening of Yongli Garden, the synergistic effect of Qianhai DreamWorks’ "Hong Kong-style Street" and "1510" Science and Technology Innovation Ecology has become more pronounced. In the future, DreamWorks will focus on the core strategy of Shenzhen-Hong Kong integration, collaborating with Hong Kong universities to accelerate the cross-border transformation of scientific research achievements and promote the landing of more hard technology projects; at the same time, it will deepen cooperation with Hong Kong financial and service institutions, explore new models for cross-border capital flow and industrial resource integration, and build an international innovation ecology that is "science and technology-led, and culturally symbiotic."
From the cultural resonance of traditional catering brands to the cross-border collaboration of hardcore technology enterprises, DreamWorks is becoming a benchmark for the coordinated development of "soft and hard power" between Shenzhen and Hong Kong. Just as the awakening of vitality symbolized by the lion awakening ceremony, DreamWorks will continue to promote the cross-border flow of talent, capital, and technology, injecting strong momentum into the construction of a world-class sci-tech innovation center in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
