Lei Jun announced recently: Xiaomi's self-developed smartphone SoC chip will be released in late May!
On May 15th, Lei Jun posted on Weibo stating that the smartphone SoC chip developed and designed by Xiaomi is called Xuanjie O1, and it will be released in late May.
According to a report by Hongxing Capital on May 14, Xiaomi Group founder Lei Jun changed his Weibo settings to only allow comments from followers who have been following for more than 100 days.
The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra controversy escalates, with hundreds of consumers seeking new solutions.
Recently, a video of a Xiaomi SU7 Ultra owner holding a phone order and requesting to return the car and deposit has attracted widespread attention. "The actual Xiaomi SU7 Ultra does not match the promotion, I request Xiaomi Automobile to refund the 20,000 yuan deposit (including 10,000 yuan intention fee and 10,000 yuan deposit)." Wu Lei explained that recently some users, after taking delivery of their cars, found that the optional carbon fiber hood did not have any air ducts, serving only decorative purposes, and might have noise defects, which does not match the promotion, hence they requested Xiaomi Automobile for a full refund of the deposit.

"Everyone is an ordinary person and has never shown their face on social media, so they are not very willing to expose their privacy." Wu Lei admitted, "Another reason for not showing my face is that I am afraid of being seen by friends around me and being laughed at."
Xiaomi SU7 Ultra owner Zhu Xiang, who has already picked up the car, stated in an interview with reporters that not showing one's face is quite normal, and it actually takes courage to show one's face.
The reporter learned that the participants in front of the camera are just a small portion of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra owners. "Currently, the spontaneously formed 'SU7 Ultra Cancellation Group' has increased to 414 people," Wu Lei revealed. Most of the group members have paid a deposit of 20,000 yuan to secure their order, and only a few have received their cars.

According to reports, this incident originated from Xiaomi's SU7 Ultra, which claimed to feature a "replicated prototype car dual air duct design" and "dual air ducts directly guiding the hubs, supporting hub heat dissipation." The optional carbon fiber perforated hood, priced at 42,000 yuan, was tested by car owners who had already taken delivery of their vehicles, revealing that the vehicle lacks both airflow guiding functionality and improved heat dissipation performance. A disassembly comparison showed that its internal structure is almost identical to that of a regular aluminum hood, only reducing weight by 1.3 kilograms.
Lei Jun previously posted: The past month has been the most difficult time since I founded Xiaomi.
On May 10, Lei Jun posted on Weibo: "May 10, Saturday. Gym check-in, the 42nd time in 2025. The past month has been the most difficult time since I founded Xiaomi. My mood has been quite low; I canceled some meeting arrangements and business trips, and also paused my interactions on social media for a while. I've been very busy these past few years, and this time has allowed me to calm down and think carefully, and I've indeed gained some insights. Recently, I've read many messages from friends, which have deeply moved me. Your concern and support have given me tremendous confidence, helping me gradually regain the courage and confidence to move forward, and my state is starting to recover. Here, I especially want to say: thank you!"
