According to Techub News, Lyft has confirmed to Decrypt that it has partnered with the decentralized mapping platform Bee Maps, built on the Hivemapper infrastructure, to support its internal mapping work. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed. Hivemapper is a decentralized, encryption-incentivized map-building network that operates on Solana. The platform relies on a global network of contributors who upload street images via AI-driven dash cams and are rewarded with its native HONEY Token. Lyft began collaborating with Bee Maps in 2024 and is leveraging the platform's street-level map data to help improve routing and navigation while expanding its autonomous vehicle strategy.
