Why Did AAVE (AAVE) Fall in the Last 24 Hours?

AAVE faces offsetting pressures. The SPCXc lending market on Base and the Starloop vault integrated with Aave expand RWA lending and may add borrowing demand. However, after reserves were frozen, deposits and borrowing were paused while withdrawals continued, and utilization at some reserves rose to 92%–100%, creating confidence concerns. A decline in TVL does not mean net selling of AAVE. On 2026-11-05, sell volume across the top five order-book levels was about 4.36 times buy volume, with bids concentrated at one price; this indicates sell-side weight at that snapshot, not liquidity conditions throughout the day or trader intent. Technical signals were broadly neutral, while daily moving averages leaned bearish. Volume data was unavailable, so these factors alone do not establish a sustained direction.

About AAVE (AAVE)

Through the improvement proposal (AIP1), AAVE converted the AAVE platform token land to AAVE in a ratio of 100:1 on october3,2020 (block height 10978863). AAVE is an open source decentralized lending agreement that provides users with deposit and lending services. The deposit interest rate and loan interest rate of users on both sides of the loan are calculated by algorithm according to the loan amount and deposit amount of the platform, and the platform uses chainlink's Oracle machine to ensure the fairness of the collateral price.

Use Cases and Features

AAVE is the native governance token of the Aave Protocol. Holders can vote directly or delegate proposal and voting power to other Ethereum addresses to participate in governance decisions such as protocol deployments, parameter adjustments, and features. AAVE can also be staked in the Safety Module to provide backstop protection for system risk events and earn corresponding rewards; subject to market rules, it may also be used as collateral for lending and borrowing.

Supply and Issuance Mechanism

AAVE is an ERC-20 token deployed on Ethereum. Official materials emphasize its governance and ecosystem uses rather than describing it as an interest-bearing receipt in lending markets. AAVE purchased through the Aave DAO buyback program enters the DAO ecosystem reserve and is used for governance-approved rewards, grants, or service-provider programs, rather than being directly burned.
