Humanode: Decentralization Layer 1 platform based on biometrics

The Humanode project is based on the core idea of blockchain - to create a decentralized, open, fair, and transparent network that allows everyone to participate and contribute. However, the existing PoW and PoS consensus mechanisms have an inherent "rich get richer" problem, leading to the concentration of power and resources, forming a validator and miner oligopoly, which undermines the security and democracy of the blockchain.

According to the data, the number of global Bitcoin and Ethereum nodes is only about 11,000 and 14,000 respectively, and they are mainly concentrated in North America and Europe. This means that the control and profit rights of the blockchain network are still held by a small number of institutions and individuals, rather than being truly decentralized across the globe.

Humanode was born to solve this problem. The project uses biometric technology to ensure that each node corresponds to a real and unique living person, rather than a machine or software. Humanode believes that all humans are equal, and therefore all nodes should also be equal in terms of fee distribution, verification, and voting. Its slogan is "1 person = 1 node = 1 vote", meaning each person can only deploy one node, and each node has only one vote. Thus, Humanode can achieve a truly decentralized, democratic, and witch-hunt resistant blockchain network, allowing everyone to participate and benefit fairly.

Humanode is developed based on the Substrate framework, allowing for flexible selection of different consensus algorithms, smart contract layers, and governance models. Its core technologies include:

1. Private biometric search and matching: Use AI to analyze faces, proving the uniqueness of user identity while protecting privacy.

2. Decentralized Auditable Live Detection: Using over 60 AI modules, it requires verification of the user as a real person through random actions.

3. EVM-compatible smart contract layer: supports the Ethereum ecosystem, making it easy for developers to deploy DApps.

The main highlights of Humanode include:

2. Provide ownership verification against witch attacks for the tokenization of real-world assets.

3. Human-centered automated market maker ( AMM ), preventing manipulation.

4. Achieve true Decentralization of the autonomous organization ( DAO ), ensuring one person one vote system.

5. Decentralization insurance, only allows human policyholders verified by biometric authentication.

The Humanode team consists of professionals from various countries and backgrounds, with extensive experience in blockchain, DeFi, finance, and technology. In April 2022, the project completed a $2 million seed round financing, led by Republic Capital, with participation from several well-known investment institutions and individuals.
