Dare to trade. Dare to win.
You must either sacrifice more or desire less.
I have always desired to win with every fucking ounce of my being. I am competitive and I am not alright with losing. I have a deep desire to win and because of this I have always been willing to sacrifice whatever necessary. Time. Relationships in the short term. Money. Social image. People’s approval. Comfort. Sleep. He’ll even fucking food a few days.
Point being there isn’t anything I’m not willing to do, within my ethical boundaries, to will what I want into existence. I play the long game while many people focus on the intricacies they can’t control.
Few people talk about grit when describing successful traders but I think it’s a characteristic that applies to both trading and business. You’re not going to hop in the market or a new business, usually, and whoop ass from the get go. It took my Dad 3 years to get into Med school and he was voted the second best doctor in our state last year and has won best doctor in the city 13 out of the last 14 years. It is what he wanted to do and he willed it into existence from nothing.
You may think you want something badly, you might think you’re willing to sacrifice for your goals, but are you really? If you get to the end of the road and it doesn’t work out, will you be happy you attempted it?
I think attempting something impossible is always worth it. It might be the only thing worth it.
Homage @DejaRu22 for Sacrifice more or desire less
