Most Crypto Tokens Are Not Securities, Challenging Previous Assertions.
A radical change in the stance of the regulatory body on crypto assets.
Despite the fact that the SEC ( U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission ) previously stated that most crypto tokens qualified as securities, it now declares that the majority do not, marking a significant shift from past positions.
The note presents this statement as a 180° turn from what was previously asserted by former SEC authorities, such as Gary Gensler.
This change coincides with the launch of "Project Crypto" by the new SEC chairman, Paul Atkins, on July 31, 2025, reaffirming that most cryptocurrencies are not securities, representing a much more favorable stance towards the crypto industry.
