Metaplanet Acquires 780 Additional Bitcoin, Now Controls 0.08% of Supply

Metaplanet Inc. has further increased its digital asset holdings by purchasing an additional 780 Bitcoin (BTC). This action brings the total holdings of the Japanese company to 17,132 BTC, equivalent to 0.08% of the total supply, with an accumulated value of 253.28 billion Japanese yen.
In its official announcement, Metaplanet mentioned the latest average purchase price of 17.5 million yen per BTC. This accumulation strategy is part of the company's financial operations that position Bitcoin as a primary reserve asset.
The company also explained the metric "BTC Yield" as a key indicator of the company's Bitcoin acquisition strategy performance reaching 22.5%, showing positive growth although not as high as the previous quarter.
Through this strategy, Metaplanet hopes that the gradual acquisition of Bitcoin can provide long-term added value for its shareholders.
