The American SEC approved the application for the conversion of the Bitwise fund with the encryption index, after which it was urgently halted.
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Tuesday approved the application for "accelerated conversion" of the Bitwise 10 Crypto Index ETF, but was then halted by SEC Assistant Secretary Sherri R. Haywood, who announced a re-evaluation. This Bitwise fund currently contains a market-capitalization weighted portfolio of major cryptocurrencies such as BTC, ETH, and XRP.
