Sky plans to allocate 10 billion dollars to three tokenization national debt products including BlackRock BUIDL

Techub News reported that Sky (formerly MakerDAO) plans to allocate $1 billion to tokenization of US Treasury products on Spark, a Decentralized Finance lending platform, to accelerate the adoption of real-world assets. Among them, BlackRock and Securitize's BUIDL will receive $500 million in funding, Superstate's USTB will receive $300 million in allocation, and Centrifuge's JTRSY, launched with asset management companies Anemoy and Janus Henderson, will receive $200 million.

The decision was made after evaluation by the consulting firm Steakhouse Financial of 39 applicants. Spark indicated that the final allocation will be market-driven with a cap of 10 billion US dollars. Once governance approval is obtained, the selected tokenization assets can be used as collateral for Sky's native stablecoin USDS and its corresponding token sUSDS.
