Crypto Bull Senator Brings Good News for Bitcoin: "1 Million BTC Coming Next Week..."
U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis stated at the Bitcoin 2025 Conference that President Donald Trump supports a new bill requiring the purchase of 1 million Bitcoin. According to Lummis's statement, the aforementioned bill will be on the agenda of Congress next week. Lummis stated that the U.S. government currently believes it has about 200,000 Bitcoin, but that information has been "concealed" following an audit requested by the White House. The senator also noted that he had been provided with a special summary on the matter. In Washington, activities related to cryptocurrency law continue. Republican senators, who have been working hard to establish stable cryptocurrency regulations over the past two weeks, are now turning their attention to the House. House Financial Services Committee Chairman French Hill announced that the committee's second full hearing on the structure of the cryptocurrency market will be held on June 4th. Sources close to the process indicate that the updated bill is expected to be shared with the public prior to the hearing. A "marking" session is also scheduled for June 10. However, it is still unclear whether the law on the structure of the cryptocurrency market will be discussed that day. President Trump's goal of bringing stable cryptocurrency legislation and market structure to his desk within the next 69 days is increasing pressure on Congress, as some Democratic Senators and a few Republican Senators in particular are delaying the vote on the GENIUS Act in order to slow down Trump's pro-cryptocurrency agenda.
