The Trump Media and Technology Group controlled by the family of U.S. President Donald Trump (TMTG) aims to raise a total of 3 billion dollars for cryptocurrency investments. According to a report by the Financial Times, this fund will be secured through a 2 billion dollar new capital increase and a 1 billion dollar convertible bond.

TMTG's strategy is often compared to the path followed by MicroStrategy, a software company that has now surpassed a market value of 100 billion dollars. MicroStrategy gained attention by purchasing billions of dollars worth of Bitcoin through debt and equity issuance.

The company's secondary stock sale will be conducted at a level close to the "at-the-market" closing price. TMTG shares closed at $25.72 on Friday, reaching a market value of approximately $6 billion.

President Trump has previously promised to make the U.S. the "crypto capital of the world." TMTG's announcement could come ahead of a major gathering of crypto investors and advocates in Las Vegas this week. Trump's sons Donald Jr. and Eric Trump, U.S. Vice President JD Vance, and Trump's crypto advisor David Sachs are expected to speak at the event.

The details of the plan, its timing, and the total amount are still subject to change. However, two sources indicated that the size of the offer has been increased in recent weeks due to high investor interest.
