Ripple Labs has filed a motion with the United States SEC (SEC) to seal documents related to the ongoing stage of legal remediation. The motion aims to protect sensitive information and prevent public disclosure from harming its competitive position and business operations. Legal lawyer James K. Filan reported that the motion was filed to protect documents related to possible remedies and sanctions. Ripple believes disclosure of these documents could cause damage to its market position Ripple CFO Jonathan Bilich supported the company's request to seal the documents and warned that if the motion is dismissed, it could lead to severe business disruption, potential financial losses and a loss of market confidence
