Bithumb conducted system maintenance early yesterday morning and promised to fully compensate users for any losses incurred.
According to Foresight News, the South Korean encryption exchange Bithumb announced that it began emergency system maintenance at 11:30 local time on September 2, lasting about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Bithumb takes responsibility for the damages caused by this emergency maintenance and will provide full compensation. Yesterday, Bithumb's application and website suspended trading for about 100 minutes. As of 11:27 local time, there was latency in buy and sell orders, and the order book was frozen. Bithumb subsequently began emergency maintenance (three minutes later) and announced the suspension of trading due to maintenance.
