The announcement indicated that, with some exceptions, the new tariff measures will be implemented 21 days after the executive order is published. According to the executive order signed by Trump on July 31, the U.S. will impose a 25% tariff on Indian goods exported to the U.S. starting August 7. After the additional tariff announced on the 6th, Indian goods exported to the U.S. will be subject to a total tariff rate of 50%.
