Did you miss this round of big pump in Bitcoin? Zhao Changpeng: There are still buy the dip opportunities, but remember that BTC issuance is limited.

Bitcoin today (11th) surged to 118,400 USD, setting a new historical high. Within just a few minutes, the global exchange trading volume rapidly increased, indicating that market confidence in decentralized assets is at a peak. In the face of this strong pump, many investors may feel anxious, worried about missing out on opportunities. However, well-known crypto assets entrepreneur Zhao Changpeng (CZ) reminds everyone: there is no need to panic, buy the dip opportunities are always present, and the scarcity of Bitcoin is its core value.

Bitcoin has successfully broken through the key resistance of 112,000 USD, with solid support forming in the 106,000 to 108,000 USD range, while the resistance above is relatively limited. In the face of this strong pump, many investors may feel anxious about missing out on opportunities.

Zhao Changpeng: Opportunities for decline are always present, scarcity is the core

Zhao Changpeng reminded investors on social media: "If you missed the previous dip, there will be future opportunities to buy the dip. We are currently in a dip as well. The amount of mathematical numbers or fiat currency printing has no upper limit; only the quantity of Bitcoin is limited."

Zhao Changpeng implied that investors should face the market with patience and research, rather than chasing short-term fluctuations. He emphasized that the total supply of Bitcoin is only 21 million coins, and over 95% have already been mined; compared to the more than 30% increase in the supply of the US dollar since 2020, scarcity is the most crucial value foundation of Bitcoin.

Risk and Long-term Significance: Scarcity Drives Upward Momentum

The scarcity of Bitcoin brings upward momentum, but volatility remains high. With the reduction of mining rewards, miner income will increasingly depend on transaction fees, and the importance of scaling technologies like the Lightning Network is also increasing. According to the Economic Times, large investors now hold about 10% of Bitcoin; if more institutions join, the limited supply will continue to drive up prices. However, investors must still assess their own risk tolerance and maintain financial discipline.

Looking back at this new high, it is evident that institutional funds, supply tightening, macro concerns, and scarcity narratives resonate with each other. In the face of a constantly changing market, Bitcoin offers an option that is distinctly different from traditional fiat currencies through its hard cap and transparent mechanisms; however, as long as volatility remains, every correction after a new high tests the patience and judgment of investors.

Zhao Changpeng's Life in Prison: An Alternative Observation on Bitcoin

Zhao Changpeng's experiences in prison also added a unique perspective to his views on Bitcoin. He shared: "At first, it was quite frightening to enter the prison. My first roommate was a double murderer. This roommate was sentenced to 30 years and had already been in prison for 18 years. He had killed two people at once, but he was actually very easygoing, and we got along well. The scariest thing about my roommate wasn't his murder history, but his snoring at night, which was super loud. On the first night, I hesitated whether to kick him awake? But then I thought, he is a double murderer, so I decided against it."

He mentioned that before going to prison, Bloomberg and The Wall Street Journal reported that "I might be the richest person in an American prison." Such reports did not help him; instead, they made him worry about becoming a target for extortion. Fortunately, most people in prison do not read these media.

"Later, the prisoners and guards quickly learned about my identity. Some of them were very interested in crypto assets and wanted to learn how to invest. So, we had some books sent to the prison, and I formed a study group with them. We spent about half an hour every day learning about finance. There were nine televisions in the prison, and they even set one TV to the financial channel to keep an eye on Bitcoin prices, etc. This study group helped me avoid a lot of trouble because I had a group of supporters around me."

He also mentioned: "Some prison guards will ask me: 'Hey, is it a good time to buy Bitcoin now?' I usually say: 'I don't have internet here, nor information, so I don't know what the current price of Bitcoin is? I can't give you advice.'"

Zhao Changpeng's experiences in prison reflect, from a side perspective, the influence of Bitcoin across different social strata, as well as its characteristics as an independent asset that can attract attention even in special circumstances.

Bitcoin has reached a historical new high, once again proving its value as a scarce digital asset. Zhao Changpeng's viewpoint reminds investors to remain patient in the face of market volatility and to view Bitcoin's scarcity value from a long-term perspective. Even if one misses the short-term pump, future declines may still provide buy the dip opportunities.
