The U.S. President stated that there is no need to extend the tariff deadline, and the Treasury Secretary said it may be difficult to complete all negotiations.

Gate News bot message, the U.S. President stated on June 30 that the trade deadline on July 9 does not need to be extended, and countries should reach an agreement with the U.S. beforehand to avoid higher tariffs. In an interview, he said: "I don’t think it needs to be extended," but then added, "I could also extend it, it’s no big deal."

U.S. Treasury Secretary Basant said on Friday that some countries have proposed good protocols, but it may not be possible to complete all negotiations before the tariffs on specific countries take effect on April 2. He believes that if agreements can be reached with 10 to 12 of the 18 major trading partners, along with the other 20 significant trade relations, it is hoped that all trade negotiations can be completed before Labor Day in the United States (September 1).
