Hermès sales rose 7% in the first quarter, slightly below expectations

Golden Ten Data on April 17, French luxury giant Hermes announced on Thursday that sales increased by 7% in the first quarter, slightly lower than the market expectation of 9.8%, and a significant slowdown from the 18% growth in the previous quarter. In the first quarter to the end of March, Hermès posted revenues of 4.13 billion euros, compared to the consensus estimate of 4.16 billion euros. In a volatile economic environment, the company's handbags and fashion products revenue performance was unusually weak. Despite the uncertainties, Hermès' outlook for 2025 remains unchanged. Hermès is known for its high-end handbags, Kelly and Birkin, which can easily cost more than $10,000.
