Among those with net shorts decreasing are: Nikkei 225, Germany DAX40 GERMANY 40, EUR/GBP, USD/CAD, CAD/JPY.

Among those with net longs expanding are: Spot gold XAU/USD, Spot silver XAG/USD, FTSE China A50☆FTSE China A50, S&P 500, USD/CHF, USD/CNH. Among those with net longs decreasing are: Nasdaq 100, AUD/USD, NZD/USD.

Tongsun Finance reminds that the positioning signals are derived by comparing “latest net longs %” with “yesterday’s net longs %” data. If net longs increase, the signal is “net longs expanded.” If net longs change from negative to positive, it is “position reversal to net longs,” and this is the reasoning used. In the table, “latest net longs %” refers to the current “longs ratio minus shorts ratio,” and “yesterday’s net longs %” refers to the net longs data from the last update (typically updated on the previous trading day) for comparison. Net longs are negative, i.e., long ratio < short ratio. Net longs are positive, i.e., long ratio > short ratio. From the data-comparison perspective between the latest net longs % and yesterday’s net longs % (net longs % on the previous trading day), the interpreted “positioning signals” cover a total of 13 types, including “net longs expanded, net longs decreased, net shorts unchanged, net shorts turned to long/short balance,” etc. According to the results of the actual data comparison, the corresponding display includes some of these types; see this article’s chart for details. This positioning signal is for reference only and does not constitute a basis for trading. The direction of current market prices may be in conflict with the direction indicated by the positions. These conflicts may imply some potential opportunity. At the same time, subsequent price movements are influenced by complex factors from various aspects; traders need to make their own decisions.
