On March 30, White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt confirmed that Mr. Trump "really wants" to call on Arab countries to pay for the war. She said this is an idea the president is nurturing and the public "will hear more about this issue soon." Ms. Leavitt stated: "I think that is something the President very much wants to call on them to do. I won't go ahead of him on this, but certainly it is an idea I know he has.
