According to multiple Israeli media reports on the 29th, an industrial area in the southern Israeli city of Beersheba was hit by Iranian missiles, igniting a large fire and causing “dangerous material leaks.”

Reports state that the Neot Hovav industrial area, located south of Beersheba, was struck by Iranian missiles in the afternoon, resulting in a fire. The Israeli public broadcasting service cited rescue workers as saying that the cleanup efforts are expected to “last for several hours,” and nearby residents “should remain in safe areas” to avoid inhaling “harmful substances” in the air.

The Israeli fire and rescue department said it has dispatched three specialized hazardous materials teams to assess the danger level.

Neot Hovav is a major industrial area in southern Israel, primarily engaged in chemical production and hazardous waste treatment.
