Yesterday when I was having tea and chatting with Fox and Ace, we talked about how a truly skilled trader must have 1-2 experiences of going to zero.
I really can't imagine it, and I've also asked myself - if I go to zero, will I still be able to make as much money as I do now?
The answer is, I don't think I have the ability or energy to make a comeback. Because of clear self-awareness about this, I'm able to preserve my current wealth.
I won't get obscenely rich anymore, but I also won't go broke. In my current state, the interest alone is enough for me to eat, drink and have fun. Making small money in US stocks and Hong Kong stocks, slowly accumulating wealth - that's already very good.
Every time there's a black swan event, I stock up on BTC and US stock indices, and making some swing trading profits is very comfortable too!
