Kabiniet Zimbabwe menegaskan akan terus mempertahankan larangan ekspor bijih asli
The Zimbabwean cabinet reviewed and approved the inspection report on the economic flagship projects in the Central Province and Masvingo Province submitted by Vice President C.G.D.N. Chiwenga, General (Retired) Dr. . The Vice President led a high-level delegation to conduct a comprehensive inspection of key economic flagship projects in the Central Province and Masvingo Province. This is part of a nationwide ongoing assessment of the impact of related projects on gross domestic product (GDP), community development, and alignment with the country’s industrialization and mineral beneficiation goals. The inspection covered multiple mining, industrial, infrastructure, and health projects in both provinces, highlighting their strategic significance and developmental impact.
Given that the inspection revealed all visited mining companies are engaged in ore extraction and raw ore export, the cabinet reaffirmed its continued enforcement of the raw ore export ban. This measure aims to promote value-added processing, mineral beneficiation, industrialization, and manufacturing development.
Furthermore, the cabinet also instructed that the “Great Zimbabwe Hydro” hydroelectric model should be replicated and promoted at other dams nationwide to enhance power generation capacity. (SMM)
