Mao Ning introduced that from April 1 to 7, representatives from China, Arab, and Pakistan held an informal week-long meeting in Urumqi, Xinjiang. The three delegations consisted of cross-departmental representatives from diplomacy, defense, security, and other fields. The meeting discussed frankly and pragmatically, with a good atmosphere, reflecting a problem-oriented, result-oriented, and action-oriented approach. China emphasized that terrorism is the core issue affecting China-Arab-Pakistan relations.
