【Crypto World】Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse kicked off the new year with a strong signal: 2026 will have more to offer. Following impressive performance in 2025, this cross-border payment giant is preparing to reach new heights.
Several recent major moves deserve attention. First, Ripple obtained a license from the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), meaning compliant operations in the UK market now have official endorsement. Second, the company successively acquired Ripple Prime and GTreasury, two key assets that directly strengthen its cross-border payment and fund management capabilities.
Garlinghouse particularly emphasized that XRP has always been the foundational support of the strategy. As the global demand for regulated crypto infrastructure becomes increasingly urgent, Ripple is accelerating the creation of real-world use cases for XRP and RLUSD—this is not hype, but building financial infrastructure that can actually be used. In other words, their goal is clear: to transform these assets from trading instruments into genuine payment channels.
