Mars Finance reports that in a discussion about the late girl Liv Perrotto’s question, she once asked whether her designed “ASTEROID” could be used as SpaceX’s mascot. In response, Musk replied “Ok.”
Inspired by this news, the Meme coin ASTEROID on the Ethereum chain (launched as early as September 2024) briefly surpassed a market cap of $160 million, now at $116 million, with a 24-hour increase of over 500%, and a 24-hour trading volume exceeding $77 million.
It is reported that before her death from cancer at age 15, Liv Perrotto’s greatest wish was to meet Musk, and she wrote a list of questions she wanted to ask him. She previously participated in designing a zero-gravity toy called “Asteroid” — a Shiba Inu-shaped figure.
Her mother subsequently publicly wrote to Musk, hoping he would consider making Asteroid SpaceX’s official mascot in accordance with Liv Perrotto’s wishes. Musk responded, “Will reply very soon later.”
