AnomaPay Goes Live on BNB Chain, Offering Private Transfers for Existing Assets - Crypto Economy

Anoma launched AnomaPay on BNB Chain, its private payments application that allows users to make confidential transfers of existing ERC-20 assets without relying on specific privacy coins or chains. The launch corresponds to a public beta and follows the company’s recent deployment of its distributed operating system (DOS) on that network.
Unlike existing solutions that require users to adopt new wallets, specialized software or endure long wait times, AnomaPay enables the protection of payments, balances and transaction history on public blockchains. The application currently supports ETH, USDC, USDT and XAN, with support for new assets coming soon. Users can onboard with existing wallets or via a passkey and send payments through links instead of hexadecimal addresses. Zero-knowledge proof times are around 15 seconds.
AnomaPay: Privacy as a Condition for Mass Adoption
Adrian Brink, co-founder of Anoma, noted that “privacy is the last great barrier to true financial sovereignty and to attracting risk-averse users and businesses to the chains.” Nina Rong, Chief Growth Officer of BNB Chain, stated that privacy is a real priority because it generates the trust needed to onboard everyday users and institutions that are still outside the market.
Beyond the more practical applications, the launch opens the door for BNB ecosystem developers to build their own privacy applications using the Anoma SDK. This enables use cases ranging from confidential payments and private trading operations to onchain payroll, treasury management, asset issuance and payments to artificial intelligence agents.
An Infrastructure that Scales Across Chains
DOS is currently live on Ethereum mainnet, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism and Aurora, in addition to the new BNB Chain integration. The company plans to progressively extend AnomaPay support to other blockchains and assets. BNB Chain was chosen as the debut platform for being the leading network in stablecoin activity as measured by transaction volume, a natural setting for privacy in everyday payment systems.
