Galaxy: The tokenization of Galaxy's stocks requires KYC. The shareholder list is updated in real-time when tokens are transferred.
Golden Finance reported that the cryptocurrency financial services company Galaxy Digital (stock code GLXY) announced on September 3rd the tokenization of its shares, allowing shareholders to tokenize their GLXY shares through Superstate's Opening Bell platform starting today. Galaxy stated that these tokenized shares are not derivatives or representations, but rather Class A common stock of Galaxy Digital, possessing all rights conferred by it. Galaxy's tokenized shares will be available to investors who have passed KYC verification, allowing them to hold and transfer shares in their own cryptocurrency Wallets. When on-chain transfers occur between verified participants, ownership records will be updated by Superstate, which will act as the official transfer agent. The list of registered shareholders of Galaxy will be updated in real-time when shares change hands. The contract address for Galaxy's shares on Solana is 2HehXG149TXuVptQhbiWAWDjbbuCsXSAtLTB5wc2aajK. Galaxy also stated that as part of the US SEC's "Project Crypto" innovation agenda, Galaxy and Superstate are exploring how to trade tokenized public stocks through AMM in a way that meets regulatory requirements. Under these regulatory requirements, Galaxy's tokenized stocks may be launched on AMM and other DeFi platforms.
