Elon Musk Reveals Government Has 'Magic Money Computers' Printing Trillions out of Thin Air
As part of DOGE’s crusade to curb waste and fraud, Musk noted he found around 14 “magic money computers” that can print money out of thin air to make federal payments without any coordination, placing the problems of fiat currency in the spotlight.
DOGE Head Elon Musk Discloses Existence of ‘Magic Money Computers’
Elon Musk, head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), has revealed a series of irregularities regarding the use of fiat money by the U.S. federal government, and how some computers can seemingly make payments without support.
On Verdict, Senator Ted Cruz’s podcast, Musk disclosed he had found what he called “magic money computers,” that could make payments without coordination with any linked network, handling numbers that were not real.
Musk explained:
Musk stated that these “magic money computers” had discrepancies of up to 10% between them, and still managed to send trillions in payments to undisclosed recipients.
Furthermore, Musk specified that there were around 14 of these computers, mostly located in the Treasury Department, but also in the Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Defense.
Later, Musk discussed that his intention at DOGE was to scrutinize government computer systems, given that the federal apparatus is run by several hundred computers.
“If you want to know what the situation is with the accounting and you’re trying to reconcile accounting and get rid of waste and fraud you must be able to analyze the computer databases,” Musk told Cruz, highlighting the relevance of knowing the inner workings of this systems.
Through this analytic approach, Musk claimed he has also identified waste and fraud in software licenses in each of the government departments he has supervised. “If you say, What’s the waste-to-fraud ratio? In my opinion, it’s like 80% waste and 20% fraud” he concluded.
However, Musk’s detractors have called it out, noting that he often manages wrong information. Still, Musk’s “magic money computers” illustrate the problem that fiat currency, easy to print and distribute, brings to the U.S. economy and DOGE’s focus on efficiency and savings.
