As institutional investors' interest in Crypto markets increases, a striking statement has come from Ripple. In a post made through the company's official social media account, attention was drawn to the fact that XRP futures and ETFs will start trading on CME and Nasdaq this week.

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse evaluated these developments in a special video series called Crypto In One Minute.

Garlinghouse started his speech by saying, "After being overlooked for years, it is exciting to be part of this platform," and attributed the interest in crypto ETFs to two main reasons:

  • First of all, Garlinghouse pointed out that institutional investors trading on Wall Street have long been unable to access crypto directly, stating that these investors had to either use their own custody solutions or turn to centralized exchanges. He mentioned that thanks to these new ETF structures, institutions can trade directly with crypto assets through Wall Street.
  • Secondly, Garlinghouse, who stated that this development has accelerated the institutionalization of the crypto sector, reminded that the Bitcoin ETF is the fastest ETF to reach 1 billion dollars so far. He also noted that it has surpassed 10 billion dollars in record time and could approach the gold ETF.
