The results of the 2025 Forbes Top 50 Chinese Intelligent Technology Enterprises were released, and 7 Shenzhen enterprises were listed in the top 50 AI industry
On May 11, 2025, the results of the Forbes China Top 50 Artificial Intelligence Technology Companies selection were officially announced. This selection focuses on the core track of the artificial intelligence industry and identifies the most influential and representative enterprises in the field of artificial intelligence in China. Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen ranked the top three cities with 13, 11, and 7 listed companies, respectively. Meanwhile, Guangdong Province had 9 companies selected, showcasing its strength as a national hub for the artificial intelligence industry.
Seven listed companies in Shenzhen: covering multiple fields such as large models, robotics, and AI pharmaceuticals.
Seven companies from Shenzhen made the list, covering multiple fields such as large models, robotics, AI pharmaceuticals, and intelligent marketing. Tencent Yuanbao, as Tencent's flagship AI product, relies on its self-developed Hongyuan large model and DeepSeek "dual model" drive, demonstrating outstanding performance in cross-knowledge domain understanding, natural language processing, and image analysis. Its application scenarios span various areas including logical reasoning, workplace office tasks, and knowledge learning, becoming a benchmark for the commercialization of large model technology in China.
Zhongqing Robotics is a star enterprise in the field of general artificial intelligence in Shenzhen, and the company's robots are famous for their difficult performances such as "achieving the world's first robot front flip". Although it was established in October 2023, its core team is composed of the world's top university elites to achieve full-stack self-research of core components, so the R&D speed is remarkable: its SA01 was launched in July 2024, breaking industry barriers at affordable prices and popularizing embodied intelligence technology; Launched in October 2024, the first full-size general-purpose humanoid robot, SE01, has revolutionized the movement standard at home and abroad with its natural and smooth gait. The PM01 was released just two months later, and as an open-source general-purpose humanoid machine platform, it is being widely adapted to a variety of scenarios. In 2025, Zhongqing plans to deliver 1,000 robot products in batches.
Leju Robotics was established in 2016, focusing on humanoid robots from the very beginning. Its "Kua Fu" robot, released in December 2023, is the first open-source Harmony humanoid robot in China that can jump and adapt to multiple terrains. Its products have appeared on international stages such as the closing ceremony of the PyeongChang Winter Olympics and the Beijing Winter Olympics, and have been practically implemented in various scenarios including industrial and home settings.
Cross-Dimensional Intelligence was founded in June 2021, focusing on the research and development of highly versatile embodied intelligence technology with Sim2Real technology at its core. With technological accumulation in 3D generative AI, multimodal large models, and three-dimensional imaging, the company has taken the lead in achieving large-scale commercial applications of embodied intelligence technology.
Jingtai Technology was founded in 2015 by three physicists from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, combining quantum physics computing with AI to provide research and development solutions for pharmaceutical and materials science companies worldwide. This company, founded by MIT physicists, represents the cutting-edge application of AI in basic scientific research.
Founded in 2004, Dongxin Times, as a veteran enterprise that has been deeply involved in MarTech for 20 years, has built an intelligent marketing service network covering 40 cities across the country, demonstrating the potential of large-scale application of AI in the commercial field.
Founded in Shenzhen at the beginning of XVERSE2021, Meta Elephant is a unicorn company in the field of AI and metaverse, and its combination of AI and 3D technology provides new possibilities for virtual reality interaction.
Shenzhen has become a major industrial hub.
Shenzhen has become a major hub for the domestic artificial intelligence industry. According to statistics from the Shenzhen Artificial Intelligence Industry Association, the total output value of Shenzhen's artificial intelligence industry reached 301.2 billion yuan in 2023, a year-on-year increase of 21.1%. Behind the rapid growth of the industry is the gradual expansion of enterprises in a "formation". Currently, Shenzhen has over 2,600 artificial intelligence companies, 6 AI unicorns, 34 listed robotics companies, and 9 robotics unicorns, showcasing significant industrial agglomeration effects.
Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology Deputy Director Lin Yi publicly stated in March this year that by 2025, Shenzhen will open 100 application scenarios covering multiple fields to artificial intelligence and robotics companies based on the principle of "opening as much as possible," accelerating the AI-enabled new industrialization. This initiative will further strengthen Shenzhen's leading advantage in the commercialization of AI technology.
The "Shenzhen Action Plan for Accelerating the Construction of a Pioneer City in Artificial Intelligence (2025-2026)" proposes that by 2026, the number of artificial intelligence enterprises in the city will exceed 3,000, with an annual growth rate of over 20% in industrial scale. This goal demonstrates Shenzhen's determination to build a global AI pioneer city.
The AI industry in Guangdong is entering the fast lane of development.
