Iran’s military issued a statement today (March 29) condemning the drone attacks targeting leaders of the Kurdish Autonomous Region in northern Iraq. The statement said, “The US-Israel alliance is undoubtedly a serious threat to global security and peace.” This alliance ignores international law and various international regulations, and the United Nations Security Council should fulfill its responsibilities to address the threats to international peace and security posed by the ongoing terrorism and aggression from the US and Israel. The Iranian military stated that while condemning this aggressive act, it will firmly uphold Iran’s security and ensure regional stability. It is reported that the residences of the President and former President of the Kurdish Region in Iraq were attacked by drones on the 28th and 29th, with no casualties reported so far, and no organization has claimed responsibility for these two attacks.
