N3TWORK Studios launches its first blockchain game Legendary: Heroes Unchained

N3TWORK Studios is set to launch its first blockchain game, Legendary: Heroes Unchained (LHU). The company was founded in January 2022 by the game team N3TWORK, which was acquired by a certain blockchain gaming platform.

In May 2022, N3TWORK Studios completed a $46 million Series A financing round, led by Griffin Gaming Partners, with participation from Kleiner Perkins, Galaxy Interactive, and others. The funding will mainly be used for the development of two blockchain games, Legendary: Heroes Unchained and Triumph.

The team at N3TWORK Studios consists of over 60 members from well-known gaming companies like EA, Kabam, and Zynga. Neil Young serves as the Executive Chairman, Matt Ricchetti is the President, and Josh Sell is the Chief Operating Officer.

LHU is a play-to-earn role-playing game based on the once-popular mobile game Legendary: Game of Heroes. The game opened for pre-registration in September 2021, and by December, over 100,000 players had completed the pre-registration.

The game will introduce NFTs through Drops or Drop Events, and these NFTs will be organized into collections with unique themes and mechanics. The Founder's season will provide players with the first opportunity to purchase LHU NFTs, with purchasing options including fiat currency, commonly held token assets, or LHU native tokens.

In the first quarter of 2023, LHU will open the minting opportunity for Founder NFTs and a preview version. In the second quarter, the third round of the Founder NFT minting list and the second round of the preview version will be opened. In the third quarter, the NFT market and tokens will be launched, allowing users to earn tokens through gameplay and trade in-game NFTs.

LHU is a hero-based card collection game that features PvE, PvP, GvE, and GvG modes. Each hero has nine fixed traits and six assignable attributes, which determine the hero's performance in the game.

The game adopts a dual-token economic model, including a fixed total supply utility token LHU and an unlimited functional token HP. LHU is mainly used for the hero evolution system and the mall, while HP is used to restore hero health points.

The N3TWORK Studios team recognizes the issues present in the current blockchain gaming sector and plans to maintain economic balance within the ecosystem through centralized regulation. However, whether they can successfully attract users and maintain economic balance still requires time and practical verification.
