OpenAI accuses Meta of offering its employees "huge offers" to compete for AI talent.
On June 18, according to the Financial Times, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman accused Zuckerberg's Meta of trying to poach developers from OpenAI with a signing bonus of $100 million and higher salaries in an effort to catch up in the artificial intelligence race. Sam Altman stated that Meta's current progress in artificial intelligence has fallen behind and has turned to offering "huge offers" to its employees. I think their continued attempts are reasonable; their current efforts in artificial intelligence have not met expectations, and I respect their proactive attitude. However, none of OpenAI's "top talents" have accepted Zuckerberg's invitations. Last week, Meta announced a $15 billion investment in data labeling startup Scale AI and hired its co-founder Alexandr Wang. According to insiders, as part of advancing the superintelligence plan, Zuckerberg has been personally selecting talent and making calls.
