Argentine President Javier Milei faces impeachment for supporting the LIBRA token Argentine President Javier Milei faces impeachment for supporting a cryptocurrency called LIBRA, which is designed to support small businesses but actually collapsed within hours, losing billions of dollars in value. In a post (now deleted) released later on Friday, Mila promoted LIBRA as a privately operated project aimed at raising funds for small and medium-sized companies in Argentina, and added that he would not personally benefit from the project. As people were confused about the legitimacy of Mila's tweets, the token's market value quickly soared to around 45 billion US dollars, with speculation that his account may have been compromised or scammers deceived him. Five hours later, Mila deleted the post, saying she "didn't know the details of the project", and now that she knows the news, she chooses not to promote it anymore.
