According to BlockBeats news on September 9, the U.S. SEC's cryptocurrency working group announced that it will hold a public roundtable on financial regulation and privacy on Friday, October 17, from 1 PM to 4 PM at the SEC headquarters. Following the previously held "Spring Acceleration Cryptocurrency Clarity" series of roundtables, the presidential digital assets executive order, and the presidential digital asset working group report, Commissioner Hester M. Peirce instructed the cryptocurrency working group to take additional measures to promote U.S. leadership in the digital asset and fintech space while protecting economic freedom. This roundtable on financial regulation and privacy aims to discuss technologies that protect personal privacy and engage in in-depth discussions on policies related to financial regulation. The roundtable is open to the public and will be held at the SEC headquarters located at 100 F Street NW, Washington, D.C.
