In the crypto world, the most commonly heard phrase is: "Last year was better than this year."
Last year, people reminisced about the year before, feeling that there were more opportunities; this year, people are reminiscing about last year, thinking it was easier to make money then; some even make predictions in advance, worrying that next year won't be as good as this year, fearing that the crypto world is coming to an end.
This cycle is like a paradox:
Clearly, everyone is in the same market, yet we always feel like we've missed the best part. When prices rise, we think we didn't buy enough; when they fall, we miss those glorious moments. It seems that no matter when, we are always chasing after that "best moment that has already passed."
For example, during the explosive growth of meme coins last year, I always regret why I didn't study it in depth at that time, and why I missed out on so many memes.
In fact, this is the most brutal and real aspect of the crypto world. Price fluctuations and emotional ups and downs create countless feelings of "missing out." Human nature instinctively makes us more likely to amplify regrets while overlooking the opportunities at hand.
Many people lament about the past market trends, saying, "If only I had gone all in back then." But at that time, they were also hesitant, fearful, and uncertain. Every "best year" may not truly be recognized in the present.
The market always gets tougher as it progresses, but emotions come in waves.
Perhaps the so-called bull market is something you only realize when you look back and find that things were actually quite good at that time.
