#SOL# Solana Alpenglow upgrade core reform Solana governance voting passed the SIMD-0326 proposal with a high support rate of 98.27% on Tuesday, far exceeding the 33% statutory threshold. The Alpenglow protocol, designed by research firm Anza, will replace the original TowerBFT and Proof-of-History mechanisms, introducing a Votor direct voting system and a Rotor timestamp processor, achieving a generational leap in blockchain performance.

Technical breakthrough: After the upgrade of Web2-level response speed and economic model reconstruction, the finality time of transactions will be compressed from 12.8 seconds to 100-150 milliseconds, achieving Web2-level response speed for the first time on an L1 public chain. The Votor system directly exchanges verified votes through cryptographic aggregation, eliminating high-bandwidth gossip traffic; Rotor optimizes validator timestamp synchronization, reducing data transmission latency. In terms of the economic model, validators will pay an access ticket of 1.6 SOL per epoch to replace the original voting transaction fees, which not only reduces bandwidth consumption but also maintains the security barrier of the network.
