In fact, this boils down to the asymmetric trading trap brought about by the exchange now listing new coins only in USDT contracts, rather than in coin-based contracts.

Because there is a U-denominated hedging short position, this is how it can be played. U-denominated is different from coin-denominated. Both are 1x short positions, but the U-denominated hedging position only needs a 100% pump to capture this portion of liquidity!
