Farcaster ecosystem is rapidly developing: brand upgrade, Pro subscription, Airdrop center, and multi-chain support
The Farcaster ecosystem is undergoing rapid development, with a series of new features and changes recently launched. Let's take a look at some of the key highlights.
The flagship application of the decentralized social network protocol Farcaster, Warpcast, has undergone a rebranding. To simplify the user experience and eliminate naming confusion, both the mobile and web applications of Warpcast have been renamed to Farcaster. In addition, the development team is also considering open-sourcing the application's codebase, which could foster the emergence of more experimental Farcaster clients.
Farcaster is about to launch a "Pro" subscription plan aimed at advanced users. The subscription fee, expected to be $10 per month, will provide users with extended character limits and advanced features such as multiple image uploads. Notably, all the revenue from this on-chain subscription system will be used to support Farcaster's creator reward program, which currently distributes $25,000 USDC weekly to the top posters on the platform.
Farcaster's native wallet launched for its application is gradually becoming a convenient airdrop receiving center. As one of the most active user groups on the blockchain, Farcaster users have attracted the attention of multiple crypto projects.
