We have two reliable scientific models that define time. The theory of relativity, and Quantum Physics.
Did you know time is not Universal but rather local? In other words, time is an emergent characteristic, an illusion.
And these theories are not vague and mystical they are rooted in proven experiments and mathematics, that get better and better as we discover more about our Universe.
That means time more than a fundamental aspect of the universe has more to do with structure than location, speed, geometry or motion.
The passage of time as we experience it has to do with the shape of the information between quantum states. Gravity for example doesn’t just bend space and time, it entangles different time measurements from a quantum pov at the same time. Creating a network of events that are entangled across billions of years and the relationship between their geometry builds the fabric of space or events, giving us the illusion of the passage of time.
What does this mean? Think about free will, and fate. 😎 Is the cat dead or alive?
