Trump Imposes New Tariffs: Canada and Switzerland Hit Hard

Starting August 1, the US will impose tariffs of 35% on Canada and 31% on Switzerland. Most other countries will maintain the 10% tariff introduced on April 2.

Additionally, a minimum base tariff of 15% will apply to around 40 countries with a slight trade deficit with the US.
