The nomination vote for Brian Quintenz to become the chairman of the CFTC has been canceled again.

According to Mars Finance, on July 29, Bitcoin.com reported that the process of Trump's nomination of Brian Quintenz as the new chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) may be obstructed again, as his name has been removed from the agenda of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry. Quintenz previously served as a CFTC commissioner and is currently the policy head of the cryptocurrency division at the well-known venture capital firm a16z. In a meeting of the same committee last week, his name was also suddenly withdrawn from the voting list. Although the official reason for the removal was not stated, there is widespread speculation that there may be issues with his nomination.
