Chromia invests $20 million in AI ecosystem, Mainnet upgrade Asgard is about to launch.

Chromia announces the establishment of a $20 million fund and the launch of a Mainnet upgrade

A certain relational blockchain platform recently made two important announcements at a conference in Singapore: the establishment of a $20 million data and artificial intelligence ecosystem fund, and the upcoming launch of the Mainnet upgrade codenamed "Asgard."

This newly established fund will focus on supporting data-intensive projects and artificial intelligence applications. The business development manager of the platform will be responsible for leading this fund. He stated: "We believe that any project dealing with large amounts of data requires data cleansing and automation to enable artificial intelligence. Our platform provides developers with an ideal environment to build solutions that can process, analyze, and respond to complex datasets in real time."

The co-founder of the platform added: "By supporting artificial intelligence and other data-centric solutions, we will seek broader partnerships while further expanding the ecosystem in new directions."

In addition to the establishment of new funds, the platform also announced a mainnet upgrade named "Asgard" scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2024. This upgrade will introduce "expansion" features aimed at bringing a customized blockchain with new functionalities to the platform. These expansions will be available for use by native applications and external clients, thereby enhancing the platform's capabilities.

It is reported that the proposed expansion features of the platform include: oracle solutions, AI model computation, as well as data availability and zero-knowledge proof support.

Earlier this year, the platform officially launched its Mainnet and adopted an on-chain relational database architecture, which not only enables effective management of a large amount of interconnected data but also optimizes and improves on-chain queries. This architecture allows the platform to function both as an independent decentralized application platform and as a relational data layer for Web3 projects based on other blockchains. In addition to supporting multiple gaming projects, the platform also plans to enter the data marketplace and increase investment in gaming and other industries.

According to the relevant plan, the data and artificial intelligence ecosystem fund has now begun accepting applications, and the "Asgard" Mainnet upgrade is expected to be launched by the end of this year, with the "expansion" feature also being developed as planned, expected to be fully launched in 2025.
