The Trading Volume of bitcoin-ETF futures on the Moscow Exchange exceeded 423 million.
On June 4, the Moscow exchange started trading futures on the shares of the BlackRock iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF. On the first day, the trading volume exceeded 423 million rubles, and the number of contracts concluded reached nearly 8600.
Representatives of the brokerage community generally gave a positive assessment of the start of trading. Dmitry Lesnov, the deputy general director for brokerage business at Finam, called the initial figures "quite good for the first day."
Sergey Selyutin from "VTB My Investments" characterized the first day as "feeling out the instrument," where investors are looking for new formats for portfolio diversification.
Experts believe that the futures will attract investors looking for legal ways to work with cryptocurrency, as well as a younger audience.
Sergey Rybakov from "Go Invest" emphasized that products related to crypto assets are attracting attention against the backdrop of overall interest in the industry.
Maxim Romodin from BK "Region" expects demand from management companies preparing to launch funds with cryptocurrency exposure. Lesnov also allowed for the emergence of arbitrage strategies.
Artem Rasskazov from the "Sinara" bank noted that it simplifies position management. Alexander Gusev from "T-Investments" added that tight spreads and the ability to execute trades quickly may attract speculators.
Let us remind you that at the beginning of the month, "Sber" announced the launch of bitcoin bonds. The instrument is available to qualified investors on the over-the-counter market.
