On October 16, Jinshi Data News, at about 14:16 local time, air raid sirens sounded in more than a dozen towns in the Galilee region of northern Israel, including Carmel, Ma'alot Tarshikha, and Deir Assaad. A house in an Arab town near Carmel was directly hit by a rocket. The Israel Defense Forces said that about 30 rockets were fired from Lebanon into Israel, most of which were intercepted by Israeli forces. According to the Israeli Red David Shield Rescue Service, two men were hit by shrapnel in the latest round of rocket attacks.
