He warned that due to the pressure on Walmart’s costs from Trump’s tariffs, Walmart plans to raise prices on certain items, with the price increases set to begin later this month. Prices on some products will remain unchanged. McMillon stated, "We will make every effort to keep prices as low as possible, but given the magnitude of the tariffs, even at the levels reduced this week, we cannot absorb all the pressure considering the reality of thin retail profit margins."
